Friday Fill-in # 73

1. On my laziest day I like to surf the net !

2. Cleaning off my desk makes me feel like I'm being productive.

3. I love little kittens and big hugs.

4. This summer I want to become a regular at the gym.

5. The desire to keep memories that don't rely totally on my own memory, made me start my blog.

6. Red Steel and orange mandarins.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having my hubby home. Tomorrow my plans include making a special dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday and watching a local fireworks show to honor our servicemen and women, and Sunday I want to create some art trading cards!

Friday Fill-in #72

(self-portrait by my daughter, Angelica)

2. The heat reminds me that summer is almost here!

3. I cannot live without my life.

4. Spinning and auditioning for a play are two things I'd like to try.

5. When life hands you lemons throw them back and demand oreos (stated by my daughter).

6. Enjoying the bounty of my grandmother's garden is my favorite childhood memory.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having the house all clean. Tomorrow my plans include enjoying a visit with my in-laws from NY and Sunday, I want to watch my daughter perform in the "Spring Showcase" at a local theater!

Happy Mother's Day!

"A little boy forgot his lines in a Sunday school presentation. His mother was in the front row to prompt him. She gestured and formed the words silently with her lips, but it did not help. Her son's memory was blank. Finally, she leaned forward and whispered the cue, "I am the light of the world." The child beamed and with great feeling and a loud clear voice said, "My mother is the light of the world." - Bits and Pieces, 1989

Have a wonderful day!

Six Words

Stephanie tagged me almost a week ago for this.

1. Write the title to your own memoir using 6 words.
2. Post it on your blog.
3. Link to the person that tagged you.
4. Tag five more blogs.

This was hard. I may be "quiet" in a lot of conversations, but get me started and it's hard to stop! Only six words is quite a challenge, but I guess this would be me:

Always learning and trying to improve.

Now I tag:

Sandra
Madeline
Pam
Heather
Kelli

(If you guys have done this already, sorry!)

Friday Fill-in #70

1. Two of my favorite ingredients in a drink are ice and water! (Can you say boring?)

2. My children often amaze me.

3. You can keep doing that forever, the dog is never going to stop loving it.

4. Gather a few friends, add a little food and music, mix it all together and voila! You have a party.

5. If I had a yard with a garden, I would love to grow corn, peas, asparagus, tomatoes, potatoes, sugar snap peas, summer squash, zucchini, broccoli, cucumbers, strawberries, and blueberries! :D

6. Showering is best au naturel.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sleep. Tomorrow my plans include meeting some friends at a local park, and Sunday, I want to enjoy swimming and a barbecue at my parents' house!
