My First Sock Monkey
Here he is!
I think he still needs a little embellishment, but my son already swiped him to sleep with. This was fun, but next time I'm definitely using the sewing machine. You can find a really good tutorial to make your own here.
This is too dang cute for words. How sweet that your kiddo claimed it for his own right away. I made a fuzzy purple shoulder bag out of an old sweater of Jonatha's and she swiped it immediately and carries it everywhere. Hand-made and kid-approved: now that's gratifying for a crafty mom!
You know you're an unschooler when your sock monkey *isn't* brown and red... and here I was waiting for the brown & red socks to land in my world to make MY first monkey -- DOH!! Thanks for the inspiration ♥
